Artistic Background

Ana Victoria Esquivel Vásquez is a well-rounded artist (Beauty Make-Up, SFX Make-Up and Illustrator)  based in Los Angeles California. Born and raised in Panama City, Panama, she has been drawing and painting since the early age of 2. 

With the academic approach to everything she does, in 2008 she earned a scholarship for the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she underwent traditional art education, developing strong foundational artistic skills.

In 2015, she spent time in London attending the Academy of Freelance Make-up, where she became certified as a professional Make-Up Artist. 

In 2017 Ana moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her career in Special Effects and Beauty Make-Up for the film industry. She attended Make-Up Designory school in Burbank where she received training. It was around this time that she met the sculptor Matt Rose (designer for Hellboy make-up), who took her under his wing and became her mentor. Later on, she received mentorship from Denise Baer, who was one of the most important specialty hair technicians in the makeup effects industry.

Since then, Ana has been working as a freelance make-up artist and lab technician for several of the major Special Effects studios in Hollywood, and on film and TV sets. She is known for her professionalism, work ethics and the high quality of her services.
