Artistic Background

Ana Victoria Esquivel Vásquez is a multidisciplinary makeup artist based in Los Angeles, specializing in Beauty, Special Effects, and Illustration. With over a decade of professional experience, Ana brings a rare combination of fine art training, technical mastery, and on-set leadership to every project she joins.

Originally from Panama City, Panama, Ana’s artistic journey began in early childhood and quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit of excellence. In 2008, she earned a scholarship to the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she developed a strong academic foundation in fine arts. Her deep understanding of anatomy, color theory, and composition continues to inform her work across all makeup disciplines.

Ana further honed her craft in London at the Academy of Freelance Makeup and later at the prestigious Make-Up Designory in Burbank, California. She received mentorship from industry icons such as Matt Rose (Hellboy), Jordu Shell (Avatar) and Denise Baer, which helped shape her expertise in both prosthetic and specialty hair work.

Since 2017, Ana has worked with top-tier special effects studios and on major film and television productions. Whether leading a team or collaborating on set, she is known for her precision, calm under pressure, and ability to bring creative visions to life with devout artistry and efficiency.
